Ana Kuzmanic is a Chicago based costume designer. Her work was seen on Broadway, off-Broadway and internationally, including National Theatre of London, Sydney Theatre Company, Bitef Theatre in Belgrade. Regionally she designed costumes for numerous productions at the Goodman Theatre, The Lyric Opera of Chicago, Steppenwolf Theatre, Lookingglass Theatre, Chicago Shakespeare Theater, Court Theatre, The House Theatre, Guthrie Theatre, Milwaukee Repertory Theater, Berkley Repertory Theatre, McCarter Theatre Center, The New Group (Off-Broadway), Washington Shakespeare Theatre Company, Asolo Repertory Theatre, Trinity Repertory Company, Oregon Shakespeare Festival, Geffen Playhouse, etc.
Ana’s costume design for Broadway performance of August: Osage County was nominated for Drama Desk Award, and she received Joseph Jefferson Award for outstanding costume design for A Comedy of Errors.
From 1993 to 2002 Ana designed for her fashion label. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Costume and Fashion Design from Faculty of Applied Arts and Design in Belgrade, and her Master of Fine Arts in Stage Design from Northwestern University. She is an Associate Professor of costume design at Northwestern University in Evanston, USA.
